- Where did the couple first meet?
- Who will be more anxious during giving birth?
- What was the first purchase the couple made for the infant?
- Who designed the nursery, and what was the inspiration?
Make a baby shower Mad Lib to put a hilarious perspective on reality. A Mad Lib is a brief narrative about the expectant parents in which the blanks are filled with guests’ random word suggestions. Its absurdity makes people laugh, and the final stories make thoughtful presents for the pregnant mother. Play both directions
- After asking for a specific word type (noun, verb), the hostess fills in the story’s blank spaces with words shouted out by the visitors. The story is read aloud after the words have been inserted into the empty spots.
- Alternatively, the hostess distributes sheet #1 to each visitor. The document requests a list of different words from the visitors. The hostess distributes sheet number two, which contains the story, when everyone has finished sheet number one.
- The guests use the words from sheet number one to fill in the blanks on sheet number two. Each person reads their own narrative aloud.
